Part I · Chapter 7
7. Pre-instruction space
Major question
How does telling AI how to approach the task before giving the instruction change its reasoning and result?
Description
Pre-instructions establish principles, distinctions, priorities, assumptions, or methods before the task is encountered. They can prevent a predictable error by preparing the interpretive frame in advance.
Before addressing the task, distinguish carefully between aesthetic value and economic value. Do not assume that beauty automatically creates economic benefits. Consider direct, indirect, and induced effects, and distinguish individual business value from destination-wide value. Write a paper on the economic value of beauty in tourism.
Expected impact
Pre-instruction installs the frame before the task. The model no longer improvises its distinctions while writing: it approaches the problem with principles already in force.
Pre-instruction means: before you do it, approach the problem like this.
