15. Personas

Major question

How does assigning a specific persona change what AI notices, prioritises, and recommends?

Description

A persona supplies a professional or intellectual standpoint. It changes the unit of analysis, preferred concepts, evidence standards, and likely recommendations. It should be treated as a lens, not as proof of genuine expertise.

Prompt 1

You are a tourism economist specialising in destination competitiveness and regional value creation. Approach beauty as a potentially productive economic asset. Examine effects on visitor demand, willingness to pay, investment, property values, employment, externalities, and destination competitiveness. Remain critical about claims that cannot be supported economically. Write a paper on the economic value of beauty in tourism.

Prompt 2

Now repeat as an environmental psychologist specialising in how people perceive landscapes, architecture, and places.

Expected impact

Personas change the cognitive filter. It is no longer the same reasoning in a different costume: each role activates distinct criteria, evidence, and blind spots.

Persona -> perspective -> priorities -> interpretation -> response.
